Which is better: 3 wheels or 4 wheels for a scooter? 2025-05-24T00:50:32+00:00
“Different spokes for different folks,” as the saying goes. It’s not really about which one is superior, but more about what suits your needs best. With their extra point of ground contact, 4-wheel scooters offer a bit more stability—especially helpful if one wheel loses traction. Still, either 3 or 4-wheel designs can tip if a wheel drops into a pothole or slips off a curb. On the flip side, 3-wheel scooters have a tighter turning radius, making them easier to handle in tight spots. But they do require a bit more caution during sharp turns, especially at higher speeds, to avoid tipping.

Why don’t they go faster?

Why don’t you use lithium batteries?2025-05-24T00:42:29+00:00

Currently all our mobility scooters come standard with sealed lead acid batteries. Being less expensive than lithium batteries they allow us to provide customers with a lower scooter price, and lower costs down the road as separate cells can be replaced individually if damaged or defective. Lead acid cells are also safer in comparison to most current lithium batteries. As pricing, stability and customer demand increase our scooters may have optional or standard with lithium batteries in the future.
